Rustic old wooden hanger with four hand carved knobs. In the 18th-19th centuries the design of the knob molding depended on where the hanger was placed. In simpler spaces, they were usually undecorated and rustic like this example. Served then as now as a clothes hanger or for kitchen towels and aprons.
