An incredibly beautiful and rustic antique peg rail in a natural wood finish, featuring six hand-whittled hooks. Traces of paint are present. A unique vintage find.
During the 18th and 19th centuries, the design of a peg rail depended on where it was hung. In simpler spaces, they were typically undecorated and rustic in construction; then, as now, they served perfectly as coat racks or for hanging kitchen towels and aprons.
Vintage items are sold "as is," with the wear and tear that comes with age and use.
