A lovely vintage wooden peg board in light wood, beautifully worn and featuring three evenly spaced pegs. It is perfect for hanging towels or for displaying other beautiful objects.
In the 18th-19th centuries, the design of the knob molding depended on where the hanger was placed. In simpler spaces, they were usually undecorated and rustic like this example. Served then as now as a clothes hanger or for kitchen towels and aprons.
